BackgroundMarco Legittimo received his master’s degree in Computer and Robotics Engineering from University of Perugia in 2020 with a thesis entitled “Study and Implementation of Visual Odometry Techniques using approaches based on Recurrent Convolutional Neural Networks for Autonomous Robotics Applications”. He was a postgraduate scholarship winner with main focus on Machine Learning techniques for agriculture and then he won a research grant focused on localization algorithms and SLAM for mobile robots. He is currently a Ph.D. computer engineering student in the University of Perugia with particular interests in Robotics, Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
